Abia Warriors moved into second position on the Nigeria Professional Football League table following a 2-0 win against Lobi Stars on Monday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The match day 11 fixture was called-off in the 35th minute by the centre refree on Sunday due to heavy downpour which rendered the pitch of the Umuahia Stadium unplayable.
The hosts were leading 1-0 as at that time.
U-23 Eagles defender, Ndifreke Effiong doubled his side’s lead four minutes after the break.
Kennedy Boboye’s led side are the only club yet to taste defeat in the NPFL this season.
They have now garnered 20 points, one adrift of leaders Rangers International of Enugu.
Lobi Stars other hand remain in ninth position with 15 points.
