NPFL: Enyimba Down 3SC As Akwa United Trounce El-Kanemi Away

Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba beat Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) 2-0 in their rescheduled week two fixture at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Wednesday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Abu Azeez put Enyimba ahead in the 33rd minute, firing home a delightful shot.

Joseph Osadiaye made the result safe two minutes from time when he slotted the ball home following Mfon Udoh's assist.

In another game, Akwa United picked their first away win of the campaign, edging out El-Kanemi Warriors 3-1 in Katsina.

Akwa United took the lead through Emeka Isaac in the fifth minute.

Yakubu Auta missed the chance to equalise for his side when he missed from the spot two minutes later.

Ubong Ekpai doubled the visitors' lead in the 10th minute.

Six minutes later, Chigozie Emmanuel banged in the third goal, firing a low shot from outside the box.

Ibrahim Mustapha pulled a goal back for El-Kanemi three minutes before the break.

In Nnewi, FC IfeanyiUbah secured a narrow 1-0 win against Nasarawa United.

The home side  scored the only goal of the game through Koffi Nti  seven minutes into the game.

Wikki Tourists were in destructive mood as they fired four goals past Warri Wolves in Bauchi.

Godwin Obaje started the goal harvest when he  opened scoring for his side three minutes before the break.

Harrison Madu increased the advantage in the 64tn minute, with Idris Mohammed getting the third six minutes from time.

Idris scored his second of the game on the stroke of half time.
