NPFL: Enyimba Beat Ifeanyi Ubah In Oriental Derby

Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba beat Oriental neighbours FC Ifeanyi Ubah 2-0 in a matchday 17 fixture at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Saturday to extend their unbeaten streak to five games, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The hosts defeated the Anambra Warriors 4-0 at home last season and confirmed their superiority over Mitko Dobrev's men once again.
The win also ensure the Aba giants end a run of two games without  a win at home.

Ikechukwu Ibenegbu broke the deadlock in the 17th minute  following a period of dominance by the Peoples Elephant.

The midfielder volleyed the ball home following a poor clearance by a defender.

Daniel Etor made the points safe when he  scored his side' s second  of the game on the hour mark.

Paul Aigbogun's men with the win moved from 12th to the ninth position in the table.

It is the first time they will be in the top half of the table this season.
