Enyimba extended their unbeaten run in the Nigeria Professional Football League to eight games,courtesy of a 1-0 win against Nasarawa United on Saturday at the Umuahia Township Stadium, reports
Left- back Chimas Akas scored the only goal in the 31st minute.

The former Shooting Stars player converted a free-kick from 25 yards, his first goal for the Aba giants since switching over from Sharks.

The hosts lost talismanic forward, Mfon Udoh, to injury in the 52nd minute with Joseph Osadiaye taking his place.
 Udoh was  badly brought down by Manga Mohammed who received a yellow card for his action.

The visitors came close to grabbing the leveller in the 70th minute following a poor back pass by an Enyimba defender but goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai was alert to the danger.

Enyimba midfielder Ikechukwu Ibenegbu was booked for dissent  in the 73rd minute as both sides upped their performance  in the closing stages of the game.

Nasarawa United poured forward in the last five minutes of the game but were unable to find the equaliser.
