NPFL: Nasarawa Beat Pillars, Boost Africa Hopes

By Adeboye Amosu:

Kano Pillars' poor away form continued as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Nasarawa United at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi in a Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 31 fixture, reports

Samuel Agba scored the winning goal in the 95th minute to condemn the visitors to another defeat on the road.

It was the Sai Masu Gida's sixth straight defeat on the road and it has put a dent on their title hopes.

The win boosted Nasarawa United hopes of picking a continental ticket as they moved from ninth to six position in the table, while Pillars dropped from eighth to ninth position.
