NPFL: Rangers Maul Akwa United, Go Top; Heartland Stop MFM

Rangers moved to the top position in the Nigeria Professional Football League table after a comprehensive 3-0 bashing of Akwa United on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Bobby Clement broke the deadlock on the half hour mark, putting the hosts ahead after a long period of domination.
The Flying Antelopes increased their lead seven minutes after the restart through Tope Olusesi.
Chisom Egbuchulam made it three for Rangers in the 73rd minute.
Rangers are now unbeaten in their last six games in the NPFL, their longest run since October 2014.
In Owerri, MFM FC suffered their second defeat of the campaign, going down to a 1-0 defeat against Heartland.
MFM started the game brightly with Okorom Stanley hitting the woodwork in the third minute.
Fortune Omoniwari scored the winner for Heartland on the half-hour mark.
At the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos, Anthony Okpotu put Lobi Stars ahead in the first half against Plateau United, but his strike was cancelled out by two quickfire goals scored by Nuhu Julius and Sunday Ingbede.
Okpotu now leads the top scorers chart with six goals, one more than Shooting Stars' Wasiu Jimoh.
Giwa FC compounded Ikorodu United's woes by securing a 2-1 win against their hosts at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos.
David Sunday got the opener for Giwa FC in the fifth minute.
Chukwu brought Ikorodu United level chipping the ball over Giwa's goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke in the 17 minute.
Amos Gyang however broke the hearts of their guests smashing home the winner two minutes from time.
El-Kanemi Warriors beat hard fighting FC IfeanyiUbah 2-1 in Katsina for their second win of the season.
Okereke Maduabuchi put the away side ahead eight minutes into the game.
Ibrahim Mustapha equalised for El-Kanemi in first half added time.
Agoha Otakho converted from the spot 15 minutes from time to give the home side the lead for the first time in the game.
Wikki Tourists beat Niger Tornadoes 2-1 in the last fixture for the day.
