NPFL SUPER SUNDAY: Leaders Rangers Host Champions Enyimba; Sunshine, 3SC Clash

By Adeboye Amosu:

It promises to be another exciting weekend in the Nigeria Professional Football League with two derby games to look forward to, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Leaders Rangers will entertain Enyimba in the Oriental Derby at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu on Sunday.
The Flying Antelopes who saw their six games unbeaten streak ended by Lobi Stars in midweek will be out to pick maximum points in this tie to cement their place at the top.
The Coal City side will also want to avenge their 2-1 loss to Enyimba in Enugu last term.
Enyimba have struggled in the NPFL this season and are currently in 17th place though they still have four outstanding games to be played.
At the Akure Township Stadium, Sunshine Stars and Shooting Stars will clash in the South West Derby.
The home side are without a win this season and will take inspiration from their 0-0 midweek away draw against Rivers United in Port Harcourt.
3SC on the other hand have failed to pick a point on their travels.
Fourth-placed Kano Pillars and FC IfeanyiUbah will do battle at Sani Abacha Stadium.
Pillars have won all their home games in this campaign, but face a stiff test with their opponents having some highly rated foreigners in their ranks.
Warri Wolves who just appointed Dutchman Ard Sluis as their technical adviser will take on Lobi Stars in Warri, while El-kanemi Warriors tackle Nasarawa United in Katsina. The hosts are unbeaten in their last two games.
Heartland and Giwa FC will do battle at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
Giwa FC defeated Ikorodu United 2-1 in their last away fixture.
Second placed MFM FC will hope to continue their impressive run when they file out against Plateau United in Jos.
Ikorodu United who are without a win in their last six league games will keep a date with Rivers United at the Onikan Stadium.
Rivers United’s last visit to Lagos on match day two against Rivers United ended in a 2-1 defeat.
Abia Warriors, the only side yet to taste defeat in the NPFL this season, will seek to maintain that impressive record when Niger Tornadoes visit Umuahia on Sunday.
The last fixture for the weekend is the clash between Wikki Tourists and Akwa United in Bauchi.
