NPFL Top Scorer Obomate Out Of Rivers United, Giwa Clash

By Adeboye Amosu:

Rivers United will miss the services of their top scorer, Frederick Obomate in today's Nigeria Professional Football League match day-four fixture against Giwa FC over academic engagement, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The midfielder who has hit the back of the net three times for the Pride of Rivers this season is currently writing his 400 level, first semester Structural Analysis (three) examinations at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST).

The former Sharks player has scored in all three of Rivers United games this season and is currently the leading scorer in the NPFL.

Rivers United coach, Stanley Eguma will pick between Ghana forward, Godbless Asamoah and Ivorien Guy Konance to lead his team attack.

Asamoah scored nine goals for the club last season, while new arrival Guy Konance has been impressive since linking up with the team.
