Nigerian forward Anthony Nwakaeme was on target for Hapoel Be’er Sheva who beat visiting Maccabi Haifa 2-0 in the Israeli top flight on Tuesday.
The goal was Nwakaeme’s 10th in 15 appearances for Hapoel Be’er Sheva this season.
Nwakaeme gave Hapoel Be’er Sheva the lead in the 36th minute before Ben Sahar sealed the win by scoring in the 66th minute.
Maccabi Haifa had a man sent off in the 90th minute after Marc Valiente was shown a straight red card.
The win extends Be’er Sheva’s lead over second placed Maccabi Petah Tikva in the league table to 10 points.
