Nwosu Congratulates Triumphant Golden Eaglets‎

By Izuchukwu Okosi:

Former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star Christopher Nwosu in the wee hour of Monday heaped plaudits on the Nigerian U17 team that won the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile.

Nigeria defeated fellow African nation, Mali 2-0 in the final, the second time African countries will face off at the cadet World Cup after Nigeria defeated Ghana 2-1 in 1993 when Japan hosted the world's best U17 teams.

Nwosu was on Facebook to congratulate coach Emmanuel Amuneke and his team for a great outing in Chile.

"Well done the best youth team in the world, the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria. You all have made our nation proud. The coaching staff, the delegates and above all the golden boys of Nigeria.

"Well done to you all. We love you guys, remain blessed," Nwosu who was part of Nigeria's U16 side to the FIFA U16 World Championship in Canada where he scored two goals, wrote on his Facebook wall.

Nwosu had in an exclusive interview with Completesportsnigeria.com during the just ended U17 World Cup, rued the inability of the 1987 Eaglets side to defend the title Nigeria had won two years earlier.
