Former Flying Eagles midfielder Christopher Nwosu has leapt to the defence of the Flying Eagles who lost their opening game of the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup on Monday morning 4-2.
The Eagles thus failed to break the jinx against the South Americans at the U-20 World Cup whom they have never beaten at the tournament.
But Nwosu believes the team will make progress from Group E in this year’s tournament despite their faltering start.
“It’s a bit too early to get excited or give up because the World Cup has just started,” the Saudi ’89 star told completesportsnigeria.com. “The Flying Eagles have shown great promise and have a team that can progress to the latter stages of the tournament.
“Its unfortunate but I believe they can bounce back from this setback and represent Africa well.”
Nigeria’s next game is on Thursday morning (5am Nigerian time) against North Korea.PROFITABLE FOREX TRADING; We GUARANTEE 37% weekly profit trading your forex account for you!
