Wikki Tourists forward, Godwin Obaje, says there is firm belief in the side that they can make history by winning their first Nigeria Professional Football League title following Sunday's 2-1 win against MFM FC, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The win saw the Bauchi- based side move to the top of the table, two points ahead of title rivals, Enugu Rangers.
The former Mighty Jets of Jos striker informs Completesportsnigeria.com that they are now more determined to win the title following the win.
"We feel we are now closer to winning the title. It's been a long road since the start of the season and having fought this hard, we want to make ensure we emerge champions at the end of the season, " Obaje reveals to Completesportsnigeria.com.
"It's going to be a difficult task to accomplish with Rangers and Rivers United also fighting hard to win, but I hope we are able to beat them to it."
Obaje's brace in the encounter against MFM increased his haul for the season to 16 and he is now the favourite to claim the top scorer' s honour.
He is however more keen on seeing his side win the title rather than claiming an individual honour.
"To finish as the top scorer will be good, but what is more important is winning the title," Obaje states
