Home-based Super Eagles defender, Austin Obaroakpo, insists the side will stop Tunisia forward, Ahmed Akaichi, from scoring in their African Nations Championship clash at the Kigali Regional Stadium.
The big forward scored a brace for Tunisia in their opening game against Niger on Monday and was a handful for the opposition throughout the encounter.
He will look to add to his tally in the highly anticipated Friday's Group C fixture.
But Obaroakpo who missed Nigeria's first game against Niger due to suspension is confident they can keep the Etoile du Sahel star silent for the entire duration of the game.
"He (Akaichi) is Tunisia main man and we are aware of his ability to score goals as a striker," Obaroakpor told Completesportsnigeria.com here in Kigali.
"Stopping him will not be a problem for us as we also have top quality defenders in our team.
"We won't concentrate on him alone as they also have some good players in their team."
A win for the Eagles in the game will guarantee them a place in the knock-out stages of the competition.
