Obasi Debuts For AIK; Kayode Scores, But Loses In Austrian League Season Opener

Super Eagles winger Chinedu Obasi made his debut for AIK in their 2-0 loss to Malmo FF on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The 30 year old Nigeria international who joined the club on a free played the entire duration of the match.

In Austria, Kayode Olanrewaju scored his first league goal in Austria Wein's 4-1 defeat to Rapid Wien at Wein Stadium.

The former Flying Eagles star cancelled out  Arnor Ingvi Traustason 33rd minute goal in the 63rd minute before goals from Ivan Mocinic,  Srdjan Grahovac and Joelinton sealed the win.

In the Scottish League, Efe Ambrose was left out of the Celtic's matchday squad that defeated Hearts 2-1 in an ill-tempered game that produced 11 yellow cards.

His compatriot, Juwon Oshaniwa was on the bench for the entire duration of the encounter.

Ambrose featured in three UEFA Champions League qualifying round games.
In Holland, Fred Friday came on as an 81st minute substitute for Wouter Weghorst in AZ Alkmaar's 2-2 draw at home to SC Heerenveen.

In Germany, Leon Balogun played all 90 minutes in FSV Mainz's 4-0 thumping of Liverpool in their final pre-season game.​
