Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona, in action in the Kasimpasa and Rizespor clash which ended 1-1 in the Turkish Super League on Monday.
Oboabona saw action for 90 minutes.
Former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Ayegbeni, was introduced for Derley in the 60th minute but couldn’t prevent his team Kayserispor from going down 1-0 at home to Istanbul Basaksehir.
Still in Turkey, Nigerian midfielder, Raheem Lawal, saw 14 minutes of action in Eskisehirspor’s 2-0 away loss to Bursaspor after he came on for Matias Defederico.
In the Portuguese Primeira Liga, Super Eagles midfielder, Nwankwo Obiora, featured for Academica de Coimbra who lost 1-0 to Rio Ave.
Obiora was later withdrawn with 10 minutes remaining for Leandro Silva. Rio Ave didn’t feature Sunday Abalo as he was an unused substitute.
Former Flying Eagles winger, John Owoeri, was on the losing side in Aatvidaberg’s 3-1 away defeat against Elfsborg in the Swedish league. Owoeri later made way for Alberis Da Silva in the 86th minute.
In the Greek league, former junior international, Macauley Chrisantus, saw action for 15 minute after he replaced Diego Buonanotteas as AEK Athens beat homers Veria 2-1.
And in the English Premier League, Victor Anichebe was an unused substitute in West Brom’s 3-2 loss at the Hawthorns to Everton.
