By Johnny Edward:
Stoke City forward Peter Odemwingie is expected to return to match action in two weeks, assistant manager Mark Bowen has revealed via the club’s official website.
The Nigeria international who will play no part in Saturday’s game against Sunderland resumed full training last week after a seven-month lay-off, has been pencilled in for a return to competitive action in an Under-21 game against Wolves at the Britannia Stadium.
Bowen said: “Peter is looking sharper day by day, and we’re monitoring his progress. We had thought about playing him in the Under-21s against Reading on Monday but we thought that might be a touch too soon.
“He will stay with the group for the rest of this week and next week with a view to playing against Wolves the following Monday.
“If he comes out of that fine, which we think and hope he will, he’ll be looking to get involved with the senior squad for the game the following week.”Uncover how I make $750 weekly on Facebook using never been revealed Social Media tools.
