Offiong Follows Oshonaike Out Of Rio 2016 T/Tennis Singles

Nigeria's other representative in the women's singles table tennis event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Edem Offiong, lost to Viktoria Pavlovich from Belarus 4-1 in the first round on Saturday night.

Offiong started on a good note, winning the first set 11-5.

But it was Pavlovich all the way as she took the remaining four sets.

Pavlovich won 11-8, 11-8, 11-7 and 11-4 to progress into the second round.

Earlier, Funke Oshonaike crashed out in the first round of the women singles, after losing 4-2 to Puerto Rico's Diaz Adriana.

Nigeria's hopes now lie in Segun Toriola and Aruna Quadri who will be featuring in the men's singles and also the men's team event. the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria.
