Bartholomew Ogbeche scored his first goal for Willem II but it was not enough as they lost 2-1 to Utrecht in the Dutch top flight on Sunday.
It was the former Cambuur striker’s fourth game for Willem II.
Ogbeche drew his side level on 77 minutes after Ruud Boymans had given Utrecht the lead on 32 minutes.
Boymans scored the winning goal with four minutes remaining.
In Turkey, Raheem Lawal opened his goal account for Osmanlispor who beat Mersin 3-1. It was his fifth appearance.
Lawal scored in the 90th minute to secure the win for Osmanlispor who also paraded Aminu Umar.
Other scorers for Osmanlispor were Raul Rusescu and Musa Cagiran.
Emmanuel Emenike opened his goals account for West Ham with a brace while Victor Moses netted his second goal in all competitions this season, as the Hammers thrashed Blackburn Rovers 5-1 in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Also on target for the Hammers was Dmitri Payet, who scored two goals.
In another FA Cup clash, Mikel Obi played in Chelsea’s 5-1 demolish of a youthful Manchester City side that had Kelechi Iheanacho.
Mikel later made way for Nemanja Matic while Iheanacho featured for 90 minutes.
Ikechukwu Uche was an unused substitute for Malaga who held Real Madrid to a 1-1.
Uche’s only appearance so far for Malaga was in their 1-0 loss to his former team Villareal, where he came in as a second half substitute.
Still in Spain, Success Isaac was a menace in against the Valencia defence as he saw 90 minutes of action but his team Granada were beaten 2-1 at home by Gary Neville’s side.
Isaac was shown a yellow card in the 87th minute for dissent.
In Serie A, Joel Obi replaced Daniele Baselli on 85 minutes in Torino’s 0-0 home draw against Carpi
Uche Mbakogu was on parade for Carpi, featuring for 90 minutes.
Super Eagles assistant captain Ogenyi Onazi was only good for a bench role in Lazio’s 0-0 away draw against Frosinone.
Also in the Serie A, Nigerian youngsters Sadiq Umar and Nura Abdullahi were benched for 90 minutes in Roma’s 5-0 thumping of Palermo.
Mohamed Salah and Edin Dzeko scored for Roma, both grabbing braces. Seydou Keita added the other goal.
In the Greek league, Brown Ideye was introduced for Pajmin Kasami in the 69th minute in Olympiakos’ 4-0 win against Atromitos.
Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was not in Gent’s squad that lost 5-2 to Oostende in the Belgian league.
On the bench for 90 minutes for Oostende was Joseph Akpala. His Nigerian team-mate Godwin Saviour did not even make Oostende’s bench.
One-cap Super Eagles forward Imoh Ezekiel did not feature in Anderlecht’s 1-0 away loss to Waasland-Beveren.
The only goal of the game was scored by Livio Nabab in the 86th minute.
