CAF Champions League first round clash in Kano.

Against all expectations, Pillars were hammered 4-0 during the first leg and have a mountain to climb.

“We made some mistakes during the first leg and should correct them to make it to the next round.

“The first half was bad for us, but we played better in the second half and created decent chances. However, we have to perfect our scoring and improve defensively ahead of the second leg”, he told supersport.com.

It’s a herculean task as the Nigerian champions failed to progress beyond the first round in 2011 as well as 2013, and crashed out in the preliminary round last year.
