Nigeria midfielder John Ogu has dedicated his goal to his wife and his yet-to-be-born child, expected to be a baby girl.
The Hapoel Be’er Sheva star scored his club’s opening goal in their 4-1 away victory over Bnei Sakhnin in Saturday’s Israeli League game.
Ogu’s fellow Nigerian Anthony Nwakaeme also scored a brace in the match.
Ogu reacted through his Twitter handle shortly after the match.
“Thank God for the win and for the goal. Goal dedicated to my wife and unborn princess. Now focus on Cup semi on Wednesday,” he wrote.
Ogu was part of the Super Eagles squad to the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil.
