Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu, has been nominated for the Isreali player of the season award, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Hapoel Be’er Sheva player has been in fantastic form in the Isreali top flight this season.
Ogu has scored four goals and recorded three assists in 28 appearances across all competitions for his club this season.
He will have to battle two of his teammates, Maor Melikson and Elyaniv Barda, as well as Maccabi Tel Aviv duo, Eran Zahavi and Gael Abertman, for the honour.
The former Portugal-based star is also nominated in the Best Foreign Player category where he will contend with teammates and fellow Nigerian, Tony Nwakaeme.
Other players listed in the category are Nikita Rukavytsya who plays for Beitar Jerusalem, Zambian Star Evans Kangwa (Hapoel Raanana) and Bnei Yehuda’s Pedro Gavlan.
