Ogunbote Warns 3SC Players Despite Kano Pillars Rout

By Adeboye Amosu:

Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, has warned his side against complacency in their bid to escape the drop following Sunday's impressive 4-0 defeat of Kano Pillars, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Oluyole Warlords were in devastating form at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan as they avenged their 6-0 rout in the reverse fixture.

Sunday Adetunji grabbed a brace with Ifegwu Ojukwu and Ajani Ibrahim also scoring in the encounter.

The result eased the former champions' relegation worries with Ogunbote challenging the players to fight hard to maintain their top flight status.

"It was a  good performance from my players and I must also congratulate them for a job well done," the former Sunshine Stars and Giwa FC coach told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"But we must also not forget the fact we are still not safe from relegation which is why we must not celebrate too much.

"We are now in the crucial part of the season which makes every result important.

"If we can maintain this type of performance in all our remaining games we can be sure of staying in the top flight."
