Super Falcons’ coach Edwin Okon is going for nothing but victory in the team’s next FIFA Women’s World Cup match against Australia.
The Nigerian ladies fought back gamely to hold favourites Sweden to a 3-3 draw on Monday, while Australia lost 2-1 to the United States of America.
Okon said that the team will make corrections from their mistakes against Sweden.
“We will go back to the drawing board to make sure we correct those mistakes of conceding own goals and not being able to defend set-pieces. We played a brand of football that was more of skill to entertain our fans,” he told the Nigeria Football Federation website on Tuesday.
“Our next match against Australia is a must-win and we are moving forward from there. Nothing is going to stop us.”
Scorer of the Nigeria’s first goal against Sweden and Player of the Match Ngozi Okobi also said she was excited for the individual award.
