Former Enyimba midfielder, Rasheed Olabiyi, made his well anticipated debut for Major League side, Houston Dynamo, as his side recorded a 2-0 win against San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday.
Olabiyi recently linked up with the MLS club from Nigerian side, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), and has been handed the number 20 shirt. He featured in the game, coming off the bench in the 79th minute for Alexander Lopez as Houston Dynamo coach, Owen Coyle, made a late change.
The win ended a run of three straight league games without a win for Houston.
Olabiyi made his name at six-time Nigerian champions Enyimba Football Club of Aba before making a switch to 3SC.
He was regarded as one of the finest holding midfielders in the Nigerian league during his time at both clubs.
