Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has urged the mammoth and vociferous Kaduna fans to turn out at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium and back the national team in next month's 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier against Egypt, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Oliseh, who announces his squad for the fixtures against the Pharoahs will urge the fans to turn up in numbers and turn up the volume to back the team who need two victories over Egypt to guarantee Nations Cup qualification.
Nigeria are two points adrift the Pharoahs who have maximum points from two games and the former national team skipper is confident his players will rise to the occasion when they file out against Egypt.
Oliseh was particularly excited about the large turnout of fans on match day-one of the Nigerian Premier League game between Enugu Rangers and Kano Pillars where six of the Home Eagles were on parade.
"It was good to see the likes of Ifeanyi Matthew, Jamiu Alimi, Prince Aggreh, and Osas Okoro feature in the game in front of such crowd," Oliseh began in an exclusive chat with Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We have players to get the job done, but what I like most about the buildup to the game is the massive turn of the fans in Kano where Enugu Rangers lost to a stoppage time goal.
"It was a big rivalry game that saw the stadium filled up then. Now the senior national team will be playing in Kaduna on a Friday evening which is good for the team, our fans will be out en mass to cheer them up to victory."
Oliseh also revealed that lingering issues against the Nigeria Football Federation have been shelved for the sole purpose of achieving a common goal.
"We have a duty to the country which is to qualify the team for the Nations Cup in Gabon and we are aware of that."
"The country comes first and all that happened in the past were in the past now."Watch The Premier League Live!! with EXPRESSVPN the #1 Trusted Name in VPN
