Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has said he is not too bothered to be trailing Egypt and also revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com that the home-based team will regroup in the first week of October ahead of next year's African Nations Championship qualifying clash against Burkina Faso.
Oliseh whose first win as Eagles coach came against Niger in a friendly also opined that his team is gradually improving after two games.
The former national team skipper who departs Wednesday night for Belgium also added that he is unfazed by the early lead of Egypt in the race for an automatic place for 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Egypt are ahead in the qualifying group with six points, two ahead of Nigeria.
"We are taking each game as it comes and so far in two games we are yet to concede a goal and there has been improvement in the team," he told completesportsnigeria.com.
"Yes Egypt are in the lead and with a superior goal difference but we know what we have to do to qualify and we are going to give our best, but now it's time for the CHAN competition.
"There are friendlies confirmed for October which will help the team blend more."
The home-based Eagles welcome their Burkina Faso in a 2016 CHAN qualifier between October 16-18 with the return leg between October 23 and 25 in Ouagadougou.
The winners of this tie will qualify for the African Nations Championship in Rwanda next year.
