Oliseh Hints At Osimhen Eagles Call-Up, Remorseful Over Job Rant

By Izuchukwu Okosi:

Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has given a hint that he could extend an invitation to the star of the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, Victor Osimhen, to the Super Eagles.

Osimhen created a new FIFA U-17 World Cup record in Chile when he scored 10 goals and was in Samson Siasia's team to the CAF U-23 Cup of Nations in Senegal which Nigeria won.

Now as the Super Eagles get set to resume their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in March with two games against Egypt, Oliseh disclosed on Thursday at the Social Media Week Lagos with the topic: 'Managing the Super Eagles in the Social Media Age' that he admires the playing style of the youngster who is set to sign a professional contract with Bundesliga side, Wolfsburg.

"I like (Victor) Osimhen a lot. He has the potential to be a great player for us," Oliseh said.
Oliseh also sensationally declared that he made a mistake with his Youtube rant in which he said he never begged to coach the Nigerian national team.

"I shouldn't have said I never begged for the Super Eagles job," the former Nigerian international said with remorse.

Former Super Eagles stars Nwankwo Kanu, Emmanuel Amuneke, Taribo West and Dosu Joseph are expected to speak at the event lateron Thursday evening.
