Oliseh: I’ll Assess Eagles’ Readiness For Real Match  Situation Vs Pretoria University

Exclusive By Johnny Edward:

Nigeria's head coach Sunday Oliseh will use Today's test game against the University of Pretoria FC to assess the level of preparedness of his team ahead of the African Nations Championship‎ in Rwanda, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.

Oliseh told Completesportsnigeria.com from his team's base in Pretoria that the essence of the pre-tournament camping in South Africa was to help his team acclimatise to the weather conditions in Rwanda.‎

Oliseh also admitted he has been pleased with the performance of the players in camp.

"So far the boys have been great, and the team's bonding has been impressive as well, but we have to see how they react in match situations on Tuesday (today) when we play our first game against the University of Pretoria," Oliseh told Completesportsnigeria.com ‎exclusively.

"Part of the reasons ‎why I chose to bring them here is to acclimatise  to the weather conditions we have in Rwanda."

Oliseh also added that the other games against Ivory Coast ‎and Angola will be used to ascertain the level of tactical discipline of his team ahead of the tournament.

"Our friendlies have‎ been lined up and with different purposes."

On Gbolahan Salami missing out out on the tournament due to his European dream move, the former Super Eagles skipper wasn't fazed.

He said: " Everybody here is a match winner. The boys here are ready and won't be distracted by whose here or not."

Next up for the Home Eagles are two pre-tournament friendlies against Angola and Cote d’ Ivoire.
