Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has warned the team's top scorer, Chisom Chikatara, against taking Panenka penalties during training sessions, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
Oliseh and assistant coach, Jean Francois Loscuito, drilled some of the players on how to take penalty kicks at the Memuna Stadium training complex on Saturday.
Chikatara alongside the likes of Ifeanyi Matthew, Usman Muhammed, Austin Obaroakpo, Paul Onobi, Ezekiel Bassey, Prince Aggreh were among those who took part in the exercise.
The Abia Warriors forward clinically beat Femi Thomas with his Panenka, but was warned afterwards by the two coaches from doing so in games proper.
Panenka was coined after Czech footballer, Antonio Panenka, who scored the winning penalty in his country's shootout win with a softly chipped ball up the middle as the goal keeper dived away in the final of the 1976 European Championship against West Germany.
It has been made popular in recent years by the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Andrea Pirlo and Sergio Ramos.
Chikatara hit the headlines after scoring a hat-trick in Nigeria's opening game in the competition against Niger.
