Former Super Eagles midfielder Seyi Olofinjana has expressed optimism that the Nigeria U-23s will produce their best performance at the CAF U-23 Cup of Nations in Senegal in Saturday's final against Algeria.
Samson Siasia's team defeated hosts Senegal 1-0 on Wednesday to reach the final which also confirmed Nigeria's participation in the football tournament of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Olofinjana bared his mind to Complrtesportsnigeria.com.
"The most important thing is that the team have qualified for the Olympics. Now that qualification has been achieved, I expect that the team will play their bet football without any pressure," the ex-Stoke star said.
"Sometimes the best results are achieved under difficult circumstances. We rejoice with the team. Let them go and make us proud.
"The Olympics is a massive tournament. Athletes aspire to participate in it. The players must be proud to represent their country. Good luck to them."
The final kicks off at 8pm Nigerian time and will be preceded by the third-place between Senegal and South Africa.
