Olympics Boxing Qualifiers: Ajagba, Ogoke, Linus Seek Final Berth

‎Nigerian trio of Efe Ajagba, Edith Ogoke and Caroline Linus, will hope to secure passage into the final of the on-going African Olympic qualification in Yaounde, Cameroon.

 

According to aiba.org, fighting in the men's Super Heavyweight category, Ajagba, a gold medalist at the 2015 All Africa Games, will square off against Trabelsi Aymen from Tunisia.

 

On the women's boxing, Ogoke will face Aubiege Yannicke Azangue from Cameroon in the Middleweight class.

 

Also in the women's boxing, Linus, in the flyweight, will look to outdo Tunisia's Mariem Homrani.

 

All the bouts come up today Thursday 17th March.

 

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the duo of Christian Abuah and Adeola Soyoye, crashed out of the championship.

Abua lost to Kenya's Rayton Okwiri 3-0 in the men's welterweight, before Soyoye was outclassed 3-0 by Mahmoud Abdelaal from Egypt.
