Oman Club Fanja Delay ThankGod’s Abia Warriors Debut

By Sab Osuji:

Nigeria defender, Ike ThankGod is still out in the cold with his former Omanian club, Fanja FC yet to release his International Transfer Certificate, ITC, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

ThankGod, a former Warri Wolves centre- back had a one month deal with Fanja but quickly returned to the Nigerian Premier League after seeing off the contract.

The one time Heartland of Owerri stopper signed for Abia Warriors but delay by Fanja in releasing his transfer document has hampered his dream debut appearance for the Ladan Bosso's charges.

"I'm still waiting for Fanja to release my ITC," ThankGod told Completesportsnigeria.com on Friday.

"That's why I've not played since, but there is hope I can play our next home game against Bayelsa United."

He hinted his club's hierarchy has been busy working on his ITC such that he hoped it would be sorted out before Abia Warriors' next home game.

Despiration to play ‘abroad’ by these footballers will always lead them to nothing. How will a person choose to play in Oman of all countries.
