Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo says his parent club, Chelsea will determine his future as his season-long loan move to Championship side, Middlesbrough ends later this month.
The defender has a contract running with the new English Premier League champions and said they will decide his next move.
‘I still have a contract with Chelsea till 2018, so until that contract is finished, I remain a Chelsea player and we will see what happens at the end of the season,’ he said and hopes Middlesbrough wins the play-offs semi-final and final games to secure promotion back to the premier league.
‘I believe we can win the playoffs and secure promotion to the EPL, but it won’t be easy
we know. But I hope and pray we do win it. We will do our best.’
The 2013 AFCON winner also said the Super Eagles have learnt a big lesson from their
failure to qualify for the 2015 AFCON.
‘I think this time things would be different, as we now know how painful it was to not
qualify for a big tournament like the AFCON, I am sure we will get it right this time.
