Omeruo Sad To Miss Eagles, Egypt Clash

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has expressed his disappointment that he will miss Friday's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt in Kaduna.

Omeruo was ruled out of the crucial game against the seven-time African champions after picking up an injury.

Despite missing out of the clash, Omeruo sent his best wishes to his team-mates against Egypt.

The Kasimpasa defender wrote on his Instagram page on Tuesday: "Sad to be missing out being with the Super Eagles ahead of this important task ahead. Wishing you guys the very best."

Also ruled out of the encounter due to injury is Mainz defender Leon Balogun.

The Eagles are expected to be in Kaduna on Tuesday after their morning training session.

Meanwhile, the Egyptians will hit Kaduna on Wednesday on a chartered flight.
