Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has hailed Nigeria teammate and Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama on earning 100 caps for the senior national team.
Enyeama was in goal for the Eagles in their 1-0 defeat to Uganda in Wednesday’s international friendly match, in Uyo, making his 100th appearance for Nigeria.
Onazi who also featured in Wednesday’s match wrote on his Twitter page: “Only a select few get the opportunity to represent their country. Some go ahead to become centurions. Congrats Vincent Enyeama.”
Enyeama made his debut for the Eagles in a friendly game against Kenya in preparation for the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan/Korea.
He went on to represent Nigeria at the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and Brazil respectively.
