Super Eagles vice-captain, Ogenyi Onazi, could enjoy a run of games for Lazio following injuries to key players in the team's midfield department.
According to sportsfan.com.au, Lucas Biglia and Marco Parolo are to undergo medical tests to determine the consequences of injuries picked up while on international duties.
Biglia left the Argentina camp and arrived in Italy on Monday with a pulled muscle, which he suffered as he played in a 2-0 home defeat to Ecuador on Thursday in a World Cup 2018 qualifier.
Parolo hurt himself during Italy's 3-1 win at Azerbaijan on Saturday as the Azzurri secured a berth at Euro 2016. Tests on Monday showed a tear in a muscle of his left thigh, but Lazio did not specify an expected recovery time and will carry out further exams.
Since the start of the new season, Onazi's only Serie A appearance was in Lazio's 5-0 loss to Napoli, although he has played and scored in the Europa League.
He featured for the Super Eagles in their international friendly games against DR Congo and Cameroon in Belgium.
