Onigbinde Blames NFF For Oliseh’s “Ridiculous” Video Outburst

By James Agberebi:

Former Super Eagles coach Adegboye Onigbinde has said that the Nigeria Football Federation should be blamed for Sunday Oliseh's recent video outburst.

On Sunday, in a YouTube video, Oliseh blasted those behind the recent criticism he has received after the home-based Eagles crashed out of the group stage of the just concluded Africa Nations Championship.

He said he was sad and angry at the development which he sees as a distraction for his technical crew and his players ahead of next month's 2017 AFCON qualifier against Egypt in Kaduna.

Speaking with Completesportsnigeria.com, Onigbinde posited that a lot of factors should have been considered before Oliseh's appointment as Eagles head coach.

"I don't think I have seen where an employee turns round to lambast his employers. Oliseh is on contract and whether the contract allows him to do what he is doing, I wouldn't know," Onigbinde told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"What I find ridiculous is the embarrassment this is causing the image of Nigeria. Oliseh going out to lambast our football, saying people are asking him to write a report and criticizing him, calling them insane.

"Again that is not his fault, it is the fault of the system. Before he was employed, was his character considered, judging from when he was as a player? Was his state of health considered? Has it not reflected in his performances? Was his level of experience considered before he was employed? So all the blame cannot be placed on him."

  1. This man called Onigbinde sef. Hasn’t he caused enough damage to football in Nigeria? During his two spells as the chief coach and technical advisor to the national team did he even do as much as Oliseh has done so far in terms of success? These are the people who sit as behind the scene creating confusion and distraction foot our football. Please Ondo chief go with your know how and sit in retirement in your village and allow the the younger generation who have our sport at heart to make their contributions, make their mistakes and learn from them. Your time has passed and you have failed Nigeria no amount of criticism will make us forget your woeful outing at the world as coach of the super eagles.

Gbih or who do you enmask your self to be. You've no idea of football. Baba Onigbinde defined Oliseh supposedly. Don't add sentiment to Baba Onigbindes view about Oliseh. One of the thing that put smiles in our face in this nation is football. Despite Chief Abiola been a philanthropist then one of the reason many Nigerians voted for him was that he always assist in letting us watch football then when our nations denies showing it to us. As a matter of fact Oliseh should work on his utterances, and more do his poor attitude. I stand to say that, he's one of the worst coach we've ever produced.
