Succour has continued to come the way of ex-Nigeria international, Femi Opabunmi, from his kinsmen in Iwoland, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Femi Opabunmi, is a native of Olupana, in Iwoland.
House of Representative member representing Iwo Federal Consituency, Honourable Gafar Akintayo Amere, has sent a five man delegation to visit the former player who has been finding life difficult since his eye problem started in 2008 at his Sanyo, Ibadan home.
The sum of One hundred thousand Naira (#100, 000) and food items were given to Opabunmi’s family courtesy of Honourable Amere who promised to put an end to the family’s sufferings with a view to making Opabunmi rise again.
Completesportsnigeria.com reports that the Nigerian lawmaker got news of the former Trinidad and Tobago U-17 World Cup star’s predicament through the Iwoland Development Coalition (IDC) who had earlier visited the ailing football star.
Hon Amere expressed shock on the present condition of the ex-international.
“His matter by the special grace of God shall be reported to the appropriate and constituted authority soon, but before then, let me sympathize with my dear brother who has made my constituency proud,” Honourable Amere said.
The five man delegation sent by the honourable member was led by his Personal Assistant, Adesola Adedotun, which also have Akintayo Banji, Adegbile Hadhirullahi, Oyetunji Ismail Akanmu and Prince MSA Adedimeji (IDC member) on the trip
