Ordega Targets World Cup Semi-Finals

 —Falcons Star Eyes More Goals

By Izuchukwu Okosi:

Super Falcons forward Francesca Ordega hopes to score more goals for the Nigerian side in the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in Canada as she sets a target beyond the quarter-finals.

Ordega scored Nigeria's third goal in the 3-3 draw against Sweden on Monday night in the 87th minute and the Washington Spirit star in the National Women's Soccer League in the USA exclusively tells Completesportsnigeria.com that the team comes first. She however hopes to be amongst the leading lights for the Falcons in their quest to surpass their 1999 World Cup quarter-finals appearance in the USA.

"It was a delight to be amongst the scorers. Words alone cannot express my joy," the forward tild completesportsnigeria.com.
"I hope to score more though. Football is a team game but it is still us that will score the goals to guarantee victory so I look forward to better days ahead.

"Sweden were lucky because they scored goals that we unfortunately conceded. We are going to work hard to correct
those errors. The coach told us we could do it in the second half and that was the confidence we needed to bounce back."

The former Rivers Angels str added: "We have a big dream which is to get as far as the semi-finals of the World Cup. By the grace of God, we can do it because we really want to do better than qualifying from our group or even reaching the quarterfinals which is our
best record at the World Cup so far."
The Falcons will play Australia on Friday at 10pm Nigerian time in their next group game.
