Arsenal Ladies striker Asisat Oshoala is confident the Super Falcons of Nigeria will beat Senegal in Abuja on Tuesday.
The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in Dakar on Friday in the first leg of their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
“Its not over yet, we all should understand how it works, away games are not easy,” Oshoala told reporters in Lagos. “It’s African football, at least we got an away goal which is most important.
“We tried our best and I’m confident we shall beat the Senegal ladies in Abuja. Football is a game that puts smiles on the faces of Nigerians and we’re ready to do this for Nigerians.”
The Falcons opened scoring through substitute Chioma Wogu on the brink of half time after she replaced the injured Desire Oparanozie.
But her strike was cancelled out seven minutes into the second half.
The return leg will take place at the National Stadium Complex, Abuja on Tuesday from 4pm.
