Osimhen Scores Again As Flying Eagles Beat U-23 Eagles

By Adeboye Amosu:

Nigeria's U-20 side, the Flying Eagles, defeated the country's  U-23 team 4-3 in a highly entertaining friendly match at the Abuja National Stadium  on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Flying Eagles led 3-1 at the break through goals by Orji Okonkwo, who bagged a brace, and Samuel Chukwueze, while Godwin Saviour scored the U-23 Eagles' only goal of the half.

Portugal-based midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo, pulled a goal back for the U-23s after resumption.
Emmanuel Amuneke-led Flying Eagles restored their two-goas lead courtesy of a beautiful header by Victor Osimhen, who has scored in virtually every game he has played, few minutes after Etebo's strike.

Shehu Abdullahi reduced the deficit late in the game for Samson Siasia's men.
The Flying Eagles will face Sudan in the  first leg of the  2017 Africa U-20 Nations Cup final round qualifying fixture on July 8.

The U-23 Eagles who will represent the country in the football event of the Rio 2016 Olympics  will depart the country next week for a final training camp in the United States of America ahead of the Games.

Siasia Should by all means take Osimen to the olympics, Keep him to his chest as a joker. This boy is a natural finisher and striker. We don't need attackers we need strikers and finishers.I bet you if we had played Iheanacho, Iwuobi, and Osimen for 75 mins. in Kaduna against Egypt, we would have won that match, likewise in Cairo.Siasia should build Nigerias world cup team from the Olympics.
