Osimhen Voted Complete Sports Player Of The Month; Beats Ighalo, Ideye

Golden Eaglets sensation Victor Osimhen has been voted Complete Sports Player of the Month for October.
The young striker absolutely decimated the field, bagging an unprecedented 85 per cent of the votes from Complete Sports readers and Completesportsnigeria.com users.
Watford striker Odion Ighalo picked up 10 per cent of the votes, while Olympiacos forward Brown Ideye got five per cent.
Following his consistently outstanding displays at the just concluded 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, Osimhen emerged as the all-time highest goal scorer of the tournament.
While taking pride of place among some of the top marksmen who have lit up the tournament with goals, Osimhen has set a new record of 10 goals scored by one player in a single FIFA U17 World Cup tournament.
He is also the first player in the history of the competition to score in every single game up to the final.
Osimhen opened his account at the U-17 World Cup when the Eaglets took on USA in their first match on October 17. The lanky forward scored the decisive second goal in a 2-0 win against the Americans.
The Eaglets took on host Chile, on October 20, and defeated them 5-1, with Osimhen helping himself to two goals. And with qualification already secured, the Eaglets faced Croatia on October 23, and yet again, Osimhen was on target. But his goal wasn’t enough as the Eaglets lost 2-1.
On October 28, the Eaglets were back to winning ways when they took on Australia in the secound round of the World Cup. The Eaglets ran riot as they smashed the Australians 6-0 with Osimhen scoring a hat-trick.
