Barclays Premier League side Crystal Palace have officially confirmed their intention to release Super Eagles forward Shola Ameobi from their club.
The former Newcastle United forward is among the players listed by the club and submitted to the Premier League as surplus to requirements.
The list was published on their official website on Wednesday.
Other Nigerian-born players who are on their Premier League clubs' list of released players include Arsenal's former Flying Eagles invitee, Oluwasemi Ajayi.
Ajayi had been on the wanted list of clubs like Sunderland and Charlton Athletic and even underwent trials at both clubs.
Stoke City decided to add youth prodigies, Oluwatomisin Adeloye and James Alabi, on their released list on Wednesday.
The 20 clubs are required to submit their retained and released lists to the Premier League.
