Manchester City coach, Manuel Pellegrini, is looking ahead to the Capital One Final against Liverpool and speaks of the special feeling that the League Cup brings.
“To play a final at Wembley creates a different atmosphere. It’s a special thing," Pellegrini said.
“To win a title in February gives you a lot of trust to continue fighting for other competitions.”
The manager who will depart the club in the summer and will be replaced by Manuel Pellegrini gave his team's fitness updates.
"Eliaquim Mangala, Jesus Navas and Wilfried Bony are training normally and are available for selection," he said.
“Bacary Sagna, Vincent Kompany and Raheem Sterling are recovering separately from the Kyiv game but I hope the three of them will be fit.”
The Capital Cup final kicks off 5.30pm Nigerian time on Sunday, February 28, 2016.
Meanwhile, Manuel Pellegrini is happy with his decision to field a weakened side against Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Sunday paid off in Wednesday's Round of 16 tie against Dynamo Kiev which they won 3-1.
The Chilean spoke of that in Friday's press conference.
“It was a very difficult decision but it was the correct one," he said about the team selection against Chelsea.
“One of the reasons we won the Premier League was that we were knocked out of the FA Cup in the quarter-final to Wigan in 2014.”
