Pillars Back Emordi Despite Poor Form

By Adeboye Amosu:

Glo Premier League Champions, Kano Pillars, are not in a hurry to overhaul their coaching staff despite the team's unimpressive showing this season.

The Pyramid City side face a tough battle in their bid to successfully defend the title after a damaging defeat against Rangers on Wednesday.

It was the third successive game without a win for Okey Emordi's side.

The club also failed to make an impact on the continent with their early exit from the CAF Champions League.

But talk of a coaching overhaul has been quashed by media officer of the club, Idris Malikawa.

Malikawa informed completesportsnigeria.com that the Masu Sai Gida  have total confidence in the Emordi-led coaching staff to turn things around at the club.

"We are happy with our coaches even though things have not really worked out well for us so far this season,"
Malikawa told completesportsnigeria.com.

"We have won the title in the last three years and we expect other teams too to stand up and give us a good fight.

"We know what we are capable of and we are quite sure our performance will improve in the next couple of games.

"Those who are criticizing us should remember same thing occurred last season but we still ended up winning the title."
