Newly appointed Kano Pillars Head Coach, Mohammed Babaganaru says he will appeal the hefty fines imposed on him by the League Management Company following his decision to dump Nasarawa United for the Glo Premier League Champions even as he claimed he is yet to be notified by the league body of their decision, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Babaganaru and Pillars were fined seperately by the LMC for breaching the (NPFL) rules and framework for the 2014/2015 season.
The LMC ruled that the dark skinned gaffer breached the code of conduct for managers and coaches by accepting to enter into negotiation with Kano Pillars without first obtaining the consent of his employers, Nasarawa United.
He was therefore fined N200,000, and asked to refund one month salary to his old club, as well as N5m, being fifty per cent of his sign-on fee agreed in his contract with Nasarawa United since he has only served half of his contract with the club.
The coach has however informed Completesportsnigeria.com that he will appeal the decision, insisting he has done nothing wrong.
“I will definitely appeal the decision of the LMC,” Babaganaru told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“But I have not receive any letter from them and only read the story in the newspaper.
“Nasarawa United did not pay me a dime as sign-on fee, and I don’t see any reason why I should refund any money to them.
“The allegations against me were not true and I will surely contest the judgement.”Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria.
