Pillars’ Gambo Rushed To Hospital After Clash Of Heads

Kano Pillars forward Gambo Mohammed was taken to hospital after a clash of heads with Rivers United player Wilson Andoh during a Nigeria Professional Football League match on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Mohammed, who recently resumed training after successful surgery from the wounds he sustained during an armed robbery attack last year, was stretchered off and was replaced by Jeol Djondang.

Bernard Ovoke scored the only goal of the encounter in the 77th minute to hand Stanley Eguma’s Rivers United side a 1-0 win.

It remains to be seen how severe Gambo’s injury appears. He has scored once this season.
