Pillars Keeper Rues Fed Cup Defeat

By Adeboye Amosu:

Kano Pillars goalkeeper, Theophilus Afelokhai, is still in shock following his side's ouster from the Federation Cup.
The Pyramid City side lost 4-2 to National League side, Plateau United on Wednesday.

The former U-23 star told completesportsnigeria.com that he was sad to see his side exit another competition following their ouster from the CAF Champions League early this season.

He attributed the defeat to the inability of his teammates to raise their game.

''We failed to raise our game against Plateau United and that is major reason why we lost to them.

''Personally, I'm sad that we are out as I have a dream of winning the competition after doing well in the league over the years.

''I hope we learn from this experience ahead of next season's campaign,'' he told completesportsnigeria.com.
