Nigerian champions Kano Pillars will unveil their new head coach next week reports completesportsnigeria.com.
The Pyramid City side sacked their former handler, Okey Emordi on Monday due to poor results with Ahmed ‘Yaro Yaro’ Garba taking over first team duties.
Media Officer of the club, Idris Malikawa divulged to completesportsnigeria.com that the new management of the club led by Alhaji Kabiru Baita will decide on the choice of the new technical adviser soon.
“We are yet to decide on who will be our new technical adviser,” he told completesportsnigeria.com.
“The players will resume training on Saturday after embarking on a five-day break and hopefully by next week we will announce the name of the coach that will be in charge of the team for the second half of the season.”
Former handler of the side, Mohammed Babaganaru, who led the club to win the league title two seasons ago is rumoured to be favourite for the post.
Other notable names linked with the post are Bulgarian tactician Mitko Dobrev and erstwhile Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi.
Pillars are nine points adrift of leaders Sunshine Stars and are ninth in the Glo Premier League table.
