Plateau United Pip Tornadoes In NPFL Season Opener

Plateau United beat Niger Tornadoes 2-1 in the opening game of the 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League.
Charles okafor put the hosts ahead in the 16th minute, nodding home a corner kick.
Plateau United held on to the lead until the 64th minute when Kunle Issa equalised for the visitors.
Lukman Abdulkareem came close to putting Tornadoes ahead for the first time in the game, but his effort was well saved by the Plateau United’s goalkeeper.
The home side went in search of the winning goal afterwards and their effort was rewarded in the 87th when Ibeh Johnson scored the winning goal.
